Charity Day for MIND

Whitchurch Bowling Club Hampshire Charity Day for MIND

On 16 August 2026, we hosted a Charity Day at Whitchurch Bowls Club to raise funds and awareness for Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. The event brought together approximately 55 supporters, club members and guests for a lively day of friendly competition, games and community spirit. Thanks to incredible generosity across the board, we raised a magnificent £745— a fantastic total that will directly help Mind continue their vital work providing advice, support and raising awareness of mental health issues.

Anne Scriven & Will Jakeman organised this successful day and would like to thank:

• Everyone who attended — your enthusiasm, participation and kindness made the day such a success

• Tim, Bunny & John — congratulations on winning the Bowls Tournament; what a brilliant way to make the day memorable!

• Everyone who participated in the tournament – Everyone played so well and should be so proud of themselves regardless of where they placed, you all helped make the day by being there with us!

• Sid — congratulations on winning The Spider — a great challenge well won!

• All volunteers and helpers who sold tickets and kept everything running smoothly

• Whitchurch Bowls Club for the venue and support

• Whitchurch Social Club for assisting with the catering for the day and for opening early to allow all the attendees to get a well deserved drink

• Anyone who donated prizes or goods for the raffle

• MIND for their guidance and for the incredible work they do supporting people with mental health challenges
